My photography and writing projects illuminate how individuals navigate life’s challenging situations. My goal is to tell the story with empathy and to support my arguments with the best research and data available.  Every situation has a logic if you look deeply enough.

As an anthropologist, I am fascinated by how individuals in different cultures make sense of the world, how they tell their stories. I narrate situations through the eyes of the local people—whether it is through images or text or both of these. 

Along the way, I critically explore inequalities and rules. Oftentimes, I question both.
