My photography and writing projects illuminate how individuals navigate life’s challenging situations. Whether I am focusing on healthcare, the environment or social upheavals, I create a space for dialogue, empathy and understanding.  Every situation has a logic, if you look deeply enough.

As an anthropologist, I am fascinated by how individuals in different cultures make sense of the world. I tell the story I’m working on through the eyes of the local people—whether it is through one image or an extended essay. 

Along the way, I critically explore inequalities and rules. Oftentimes, I question both.
